Blending startup best practices with corporate innovation and venture labs resources I work to bring new digital products to market, quickly, test, and find product-market fit.

Working with your own internal team or by building a new one  we work together through the four pillars of any new venture. 

Strategy, People, Finance, and Product across three phases, Plan, Build, Execute. This lets us create a mechanism that accounts for all needs in the new venture process, and on average takes anywhere from six to twelve months depending on the product’s complexity. 

Finally when the product launches, we focus on its growth.

In May 2019, I sold my digital agency, Swarm. In the six years running it, I scaled it to three offices and 70+ employees servicing clients like CBS, Fujitsu, The Hartford, Advance Publications, and others.

You’ll establish a path to higher profitability by focusing on driving home more revenue (top-down), increasing your margins (bottom-up), and creating repeatable scalable models that let you forecast growth. 

Top-down. Every agency needs to have sufficient deal flow coupled with recurring revenue to be healthy. By working with me, I will help you improve your inbound and outbound channels, to drive more business to your operation, and help turn that business into sustained monthly revenue.

Bottom-up. Your operational efficiencies dictate much of your margin. Being able to minimize these as you scale will provide your agency with more cash, longer runway, and an overall healthier company.

Finally, rinse, repeat, scale, retain. Systematizing as much of your creative process will allow you to scale efficiently.

A value proposition that resonates with a target audience is key to sales development. Working together we will explore customer needs using a series of frameworks and then explore potential value propositions before speaking with potential customers and clients to ensure that what you’re selling  has product market fit. 

Content Messaging 

Working through targeted personas from the Value Proposition Audit, we create targeted messaging based on each of your customer personas – meaning relevant landing pages, and more importantly relevant content like blogs, articles, collateral and emails that enables your sales team and drives inbound leads.

What’s the process like?

Process arrows

We start with a kickoff call or meeting where I learn about you and your business, I then follow up with a questionnaire that informs me about your issues and where you want to go. From here we move into the assessment phase where I work alongside you as a part of your organization so that I may first hand collect the data I need to help you grow.

1. Assess

I work with you to understand current state of your organization. I work with you in identifying improvement areas and score them according to their potential impact on your bottom line, and where it is you want to go. Assessment lays the foundation for growth.

Duration: 1 – 3 months

2. Strategise

We define the plan, tactical steps, and milestones, that will drive our strategic plan, and put in place a roadmap that will guide us during the execution phase of the project. 

The strategy and planning phase is critical, as is the scenario planning that comes with it. It helps us create a nimble plan that is malleable and idetifies the key data points we need to collect. 

Duration: 2 months 

3. Execute

We put the strategy into motion, focusing on the overaching marketing & sales, people, finance, and product – collecting data, and quantifying progress and we walk through the milestones defined in the strategy phase. We see short term gains, and lay the foundation for long term growth.

Duration: 3 – 12 months

Working model

Good relationships are based on the foundation of trust, and mutual repsect. Only by being candid with one another can we move ourselves forward professionally.

I treat my clients’ projects as if they were my own. I’m often open to equity in the pojects I work on, and in certain instances will tie my work to performance based incentives to offset some of the cash fee associated with my work.

But first and foremost, the work has to be exciting and be impactful.
