Originate is a global strategy, design, innovation & engineering firm. I was added to Originate’s executive leadership team in January 2020 & tasked with productising the company’s offering, repositioning the brand then bringing & expanding it across key verticals. 

Clients include McKinsey, PIMCO, Vanguard, Prudential, Deutche Borse Group, BCG, Cigna, BlackRock, & Cisco, among others

Creating Bumper

As product, business architect and marketing lead. I lead this one and a half year long engagement that entailed primary market research, product definition and development, managing the application’s product road-map, go to market strategy and execution, agile growth improvements, and delivery – while working closely with Cargill‘s Tech Ventures and external design and engineering teams to track KPIs for Bumper.

Defining New Digital Products

I was hired by The Hartford‘s newly formed innovation lab where I worked collaboratively with the VP and AVP to create the foundation for a new digital venture that would focus on expanding the company’s insurance product(s) to a new and aggressively growing market segment. Deliverables were product definition and a go to market plan.

DiMarzio’s product and growth strategy

Worked closely with the team at DiMarzio to define the product roadmap and growth strategy for the company’s e-commerce offering, while managing our European development team.

Saving the Meso-American Reef

I advise Sustainable Travel on the NEMO initiative on Growth, Product, and Technology.

Creating engagement as the key to growth.

Collaboratively worked through Quidd‘s earlier product features to create internal mechanisms for stickiness and virality. The company went on secure cash from Sequoia Capital and later sold to Animoca Brands.

Worked on 5 products over 3 years for CBSi

Defined a new UX pattern for the CBS Sports launch day app on Apple TV that is now an OTT standard best practice, launched CBS startup Trainerpass, and worked on various other CBSi properties in a management role at my former Agency.

Working through Elsewhere

As a Swarm project, collaborated with the team at Advance to first bring the product to market, then iterate it along an agile roadmap resulting in a quickly growing meme maker with the teenage demographic.

Creating a human centered design practice

Initially brought in to present a human centered design process for building digital products, I was later retained by the company to help establish the North American practice’s design practice. Clients under Fujitsu that we worked on included, Syngenta and BC Hydro

Stimulating product

Worked with Admitted.ly’s team to refocus the company’s core product offering, consolidate their design, and implement an attribution model that would drive engagement. The company sold to Encoura and was rebranded to MyOptions.

Build, grow, sell.

Founded digital studio SWARM, grew it to three offices across 2 continents and 70 some odd employees before exiting to pursue other opportunities.

Building out digital capabilities.

Collaborated with Anchor‘s partners to build out the agency’s digital product capabilities. Consulted on strategy for the Clinton Health Access Initiative. Now working as an independent contractor with the Agency that took #16 in the Inc. 500’s fastest growing companies list

Serving the underserved

Brought home Propel‘s Fresh EBT project, the work focused on product optimization and design. Today the app is systemically in the top 25 of finance apps on Android and iOS and secured financing from AZ16.

Accelerating Growth at Carto

As CMO of Carto a leading cloud powered geospatial business intelligence tool, I owned all product growth, brand building, inbound + outbound channel development, conversion funnel development, communications strategy, and partnership development.
